Recommended Exhibition: “From Bhutan to Burma”

Recommended Exhibition: “From Bhutan to Burma” by Patrick Ohler

My good friend and photo buddy Patrick Ohler is organizing his first exhibition. And it doesn’t come too soon, that’s for sure! 😉
Patrick is a great photographer, and, for the first time, 12 of his incredible images are on public display in an exhibition titled “From Bhutan to Burma”. Enjoy and immerse yourself in Patrick’s work from June 21st onwards at beautiful Café Noa (Maastrichter Str. 3, 50672 Cologne).

Patrick had joined me in 2014 for the Photography Expedition to Bhutan, and the exhibition’s title image was shot during that trip. Of course, there are more great pictures from Bhutan and Burma. (By the way, if you are interested in visiting Burma/Myanmar yourself,  you might want to learn more about the Photography Expedition which I am putting together with the burmese photographer Win Kyaw Zan, starting in December 2015).

Patrick, by showing an impressive range of “only 12 photos”, has created a successful exhibition: alongside sensitive portraits you will find amazing photos of landscapes and architecture as well as perfectly captured scenes of peoples’ daily lives. Many of Patricks photos prove what a sharp observer he is, with a great sense for interesting perspectives and subtle light. Let it sink in and you’ll discover his permanent strive for perfection.

My recommendation: Don’t miss it!

On June 21st there will be a Vernissage starting at 17:00, and Patrick will be attending.
I will make sure to be there myself and would be happy to meet many travel photography fans 😉
